26–27 October 2018: ‘Alterego’ art exhibition by Andrea Agliaudi at the Infopoint in Prato Sesia

On Friday 26 October 2018 at 6.00 pm, at the Supervulcano Infopoint, continuing the tradition of end-of-month exhibitions that showcase artists from the Geopark area and their works, the exhibition *Alterego* will be inaugurated. Featuring selected works by Andrea Agliaudi, this exhibition is dedicated to the works of the young artist from Postua, who passed away just last year. The exhibition, conceived and organised by Andrea’s family and friends, will bring together a wide range of works, including sculptures, digital drawings and paintings representative of his vast body of work. The exhibition will be introduced by Piera Mazzone, director of the Farinone – Centa Library in Varallo, who will discuss the work, unfortunately cut short, of the young Andrea who – as the art critic Beatrice Resmini wrote – “has the ability to make the most of the techniques he learnt to use throughout his life, as the self-taught experimenter that he was, to create works that fully express his creative power. Computer graphics are merely the latest stage in his artistic exploration: drawing, sculpture, photography – Andrea has utilised everything to create art. He has been able to recognise the specific expressive qualities of each medium and use them to convey his thoughts on each occasion.”
During the exhibition, visitors will be able to purchase a full-colour catalogue containing a wider selection of works, ranging from his early pieces to his most recent ones.
The exhibition at the Supervulcano del Sesia Infopoint, at the AllaFonte shopping centre, Via Valsesia 10, Prato Sesia, will remain open – following the opening on Friday 26 October at 6.00 pm – on Saturday 27 October from 10.00 am to 6.30 pm and on Sunday 28 October from 10.00 am – 12.30 and 15 – 18.30.
