Participation in the “Reunión Nacional de Patrimonio Geológico y Minero” at the UNESCO Global Geopark of Costa Quebrada, 8–12 June 2026

The UNESCO Global Geopark of the Costa Quebrada, located in Cantabria, Spain, hosted the 16th National Conference on Geological Heritage (Reunión Nacional de Patrimonio Geológico y Minero) from 8 to 12 June 2026.

The event, organised by the Spanish Geological Society (SGE) and the Geological Heritage Commission, featured scientific sessions, field trips and workshops dedicated to geological interpretation. The event was attended by several representatives from the UNESCO Geoparks network in Spain, and Professor Irene Bollati from the University of Milan gave an invited presentation, representing our geopark during the event.
