Planet Earth Week – 12 October 2025
The third event of Earth Week, organised in our Geopark, is a journey through space and time into the depths of the Earth’s crust!
Meet in Vogogna at the Val Grande National Park headquarters, visit the GeoLab – Luigi Burlini Geological Laboratory – followed by a walk along the geological trail leading up to Vogogna Castle and the Rocca. The trail offers a unique opportunity to ‘travel through’ the Earth’s crust, observing rocks formed at different depths and during different periods.
In the afternoon, after a packed lunch, we’ll travel by car to Albo di Mergozzo in our own vehicles to visit the MuMaG – Museum of Marble and Granite.
