The Geopark as a site for scientific research to support the energy transition
On 30 January in Rome (and also online, subject to registration), you can take part in the seminar ‘CCS and Carbon Mineral Storage: Research, Industry and Policies for Climate Neutrality’, organised by the Department of Earth System Sciences and Environmental Technologies (DSSTTA) and the Institute of Geosciences and Georesources (IGG) of the CNR.
An in-depth discussion on CCS and CCUS technologies, national and European decarbonisation policies, and the prospects for the development of carbon mineral storage, with a particular focus on the contribution of CNR research to the energy transition and the reduction of climate-changing emissions.
In particular, Professor Alberto Zanetti will outline the potential of the DIVE project, which focuses specifically on the areas covered by our Geopark.
You can take part either in person or remotely.
Registration is compulsory for both options via the link:https://registrazioneeventi.cnr.it/event/156/
